Look at the available/taken list and put which characters (at least ten names) that your character would interact or be familiar with: The characters you pick should have something remotely in common and should be stated on your userinfo which characters. This will help for others to see who they can plot with. James Potter, Harry Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Marlene McKinnon, Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, any Order Member, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Lily is really rather friendly. Sexual Orientation: She is heterosexual and married to James Potter. Personality: Rarely does anything get Lily down. She is a person who will find happiness and Light in just about anything and anyone, and when she cannot, she generally forgoes her endeavors to know more about the subject. The Dark Arts do not appeal to her, and they never will. While she believes in freedom, she does not believe in violence. The very idea of a war frightens her, but not for her sake. She fears her family will be targeted and, at this point, there is truly no one else in her world but James, Sirius, Remus and Harry. (Peter was never what she would call a close friend. Yet she would give her life even for him if the situation called for it.) Lily is a loving soul above all. Give her a Werewolf; see her tend to the man before and after his transformations. Give her a misfit; see her befriend and love him. She expects nothing in return, but, hopefully, friendship. Her birth sign (Aquarius) fits her well in that respect. However, Lily does have a more fiery side. When her anger is peaked, her powers truly come into play. Despite being a Muggleborn, Lily is no push-over. She is unusually powerful for a witch who cannot trace her roots to Magical relations. Family: Husband: James Potter Son: Harry Potter Sister: Petunia Evans-Dursley Brother-in-law: Vernon Dursley Personal History: Despite her obviously warm appearance, Lily was born on a late winter's Eve. (Her sister Petunia seems far more likely to have been born on this date, but that just goes to show, one cannot always rely on star charts and the like.) Everything seemed to be going along perfectly for the two girls, though the occasional "mishap" or two...three really...okay four...were meriting odd attention from the neighbors, which Petunia, at least, loathed. Lily, on the other hand, thought it was great fun and would wave and giggle when something went awry. As it turned out, even though their parents were Muggle, Mr. and Mrs. Evans did not mind these mishaps either. On the contrary, they agreed that their Lily was "special". (This did nothing to quell Petunia's growing animosity for her sister, and there were fights. Often ending in the tears of a red head girl as she worried about losing her sister forever, which is a "very long time" as Petunia pointed out when they made up.) It was after their fifth or so fight that Petunia decided to "teach" her younger sister what was right and wrong. "Odd ball" things were incorrect and "ghastly if the neighbors see you". Her motives might have been loving, but she did not know that her green eyed sister could not control what she was becoming. And, it wouldn't be until the pair went outside to play that a strange boy would approach Lily and tell her she was indeed a witch, and that she should begin to expect her letter from Hogwarts. Baffled, out raged, yet curious, Lily left the boy to go with her sister, who was just baffled and out raged. That curiosity is what spurred her to meet the boy again and again, asking a million and one questions that he never seemed to mind answering. He hadn't lied to her. Her letter came, and she was thoroughly glad to have a friend in this new place. (She had asked him on one of those days if Muggleborns were looked down upon. Severus Snape decided to tell her a white lie to ease her discomfort, but she still wondered as she boarded the train.) Enthralled with the rolling green scenery (her favorite color), the eleven year old Lily was seated in a compartment with three other boys: Severus Snape, who she refused to leave due to their familiarity, James Potter and his friend, Sirius Black. Things were already tense between them, but she paid it no mind. Her excitement was spilling over, and she continued to ask Severus questions (which probably angered James and Sirius more). Lily was not about to apologize for conversing with the nicest boy to ever talk to her. Severus told her she had "better be in Slytherin" when they arrived at School, and Lily hoped...maybe... But, she didn't know anything about how the Sorting was handled. Not really, anyway. There was a Hat, yes. It chose you, but on what basis? She was certain if it chose her on her personality, she really didn't have any say in where it put her. She couldn't very well NOT be her, right? Who else would be Lily Evans? These were troubled ideas, and when she ascended the steps to have the Hat placed upon her head, it shouted out a House she was completely unfamiliar with...increasing her fears. Gryffindor? What was a Gryffindor? Lily would find out swiftly what that entailed, but she threw Severus an apologetic smile all the same. While he was upset, she was thrilled when he didn't drop her as a friend altogether. Somewhere in their School Years (between First and Fifth), James Potter and aforementioned Severus Snape developed a crush on her. Lily hated James, thinking him a monstrous toerag who hit people when they were down. The latter, well...she wasn't really aware of his feelings. She had come to rely on Severus. He helped her in School, protected her in the Halls, and was a true friend for those Five Years. However, that was not meant to last. Even if she had known his feelings, when he called her a Mudblood in front of the gathered crowd (when she was trying to protect him from James, no less), their bond was crushed. She was crushed. That night, she told him their views were just too different and that she didn't want to cause him any scandal anymore. Lily added that because he had called her that horrible name, she knew who he was becoming and did not want any part in the transformation. It was a hard choice. One she never wants to make again. Losing a best friend is never easy, but she turned her sights to her own House. Participating more vigorously in its workings, she drove Severus partially out of her mind, though he hasn't left yet. Her last Year of Hogwarts helped erase some of the pain she had felt concerning Severus. At last, James Potter was able to establish himself as something workable and lovable in her eyes. Agreeing to be his girlfriend, Lily found herself catapulted into being his wife not long after graduation. Mrs. Potter was certainly a change from Miss Evans. Marriage is rather remarkable for turning the participant’s lives upside down. Regardless, everything and everyone in her life seemed to be happy, and that more than enough for Lily. When she found out she was pregnant, she could not have been more overjoyed. Despite the dark cloud hanging over their lives, James and her were determined to make sure Harry’s life was safe. However, as the story goes, Harry was only able to spend a little over a year with his parents before they were betrayed by Peter Pettigrew and killed by Lord Voldemort himself.
